Azam Khan to Walk Out of Jail After 23 Months (X/TIN)
Azam Khan Release: Samajwadi Party Leader Azam Khan, who was scheduled to be released from Sitapur jail today at 9 am on Tuesday. However, his release has been delayed. As per jail sources, although he got bail, but his release was held up due to non-payment of a fine. As per the reports, after submission of the bond in court, the Samajwadi Party leader could be released between 12 pm and 2 pm today.
Meanwhile, Azam Khan's son, Adeeb Azam Khan, along with a huge supporters had already reached outside the jail. As per reports, police officials and management did not allow them to gather at the premises.
As per the reports, a magistrate has arrived at the district jail to cross-check the fine imposed on Azam Khan. According to the details, CO Aman Singh has already reached the jail with SDM Judicial Abhinav Yadav. The verification process will be done by them. After the verification process is complete, Azam will be released from jail.
As per the reports, fine amount has been deposited in the court. An official email was also sent to Sitapur jail regarding same. As soon as the district jail receives the email, he will be released from the jail. Notably, two fines of Rs 3,000 have been deposited in the court. Reportedly, Azam will be released from jail in about an hour.
Moradabad SP MP Ruchi Veera reached Sitapur to meet Azam Khan. Reacting on the speculation about Azam Khan joining the BSP, Ruchi Veera stated that any party would like to include a prominent leader. She added that the further plan will be decided after he is out from jail. When asked about the distance between Akhilesh and Azam, she added that prominent leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal, have already met. Ruchi Veera thanked the court for Azam Khan's bail.
